Mindfulness in Museums brings mindfulness into museums as public spaces for awareness, care and human flourishing. We work with museums to create experiences that invite visitors to encounter museum collections in a meditative way. Through mindfulness and contemplative practices, the experience of art deepens, and museums become spaces where people can pause — with art, with themselves, and with what connects us.
Art reminds us we are human.
Mindfulness helps us meet our experience.
Museums bring us together in shared humanity.
Mindfulness in Museums is an international expertise platform where art, mindfulness and mental health meet. From within the museum context, we develop practices in which art becomes an entry point to stress regulation, emotional regulation and social connection.
Our work is research-based and rooted in both ancient contemplative traditions and modern science — including psychology, neuroscience and research on the positive impact of art on mental health.
Since 2020, Mindfulness in Museums has collaborated with more than 25 museums internationally. We are growing towards an international hub and training structure that connects museums, mindfulness professionals, and scientific and impact research, contributing to the expanding international fields of Arts & Health, Culture & Health and Culture & Care.
Whether you are a museum professional, mindfulness practitioner, researcher, or simply curious — this is your starting point.
“Mindfulness in Museums ® is a well-thought-out and inspiring contribution with real potential for scale impact. It offers a meaningful way to engage with art while supporting mental health, with the capacity to reach many more people.”
